"Science cannot answer the deepest questions. As soon as you ask why there is something instead of nothing, you have gone beyond science." Allan Sandage

Why can't science answer the deepest questions? Why can't science determine why there is something instead of nothing? Science is the pinnacle of Reason. Science sets the goals of rational thinking. And this is exactly why science cannot answer its own most profound questions. Rational thinking or Reason is a faculty of consciousness. Rational thinking is a way to access knowledge and seems to be the chosen path our culture utilizes, most knows and respects. It seems that civilization itself is the history of the developement of the art of Reason. Science seeks mechanical answers from a mechanical brain to an increasingly mechanical world, but science's questions are not mechanical questions. Science's questions are not questions answerable by Reason. Are there levels of consciousness beyond our most common and familiar ways of accessing knowledge? Are there levels of consciousness beyond Reason and Faith? What level of consciousness can find these profound answers to what is Real and what is not Real? It would seem that these thoughts and findings would have to flow from deep levels of consciousness and awareness that can penetrate layers and layers of historical debris to finally emerge from bedrock and beyond the bedrock of history to that of First Cause. The search for truth must probe deeper beyond the surface truth of our mechanical world. To put the quest for definition and perspective at an entry level, let's begin with these  observations: there cannot be 'up' if there isn't 'down', or 'hot' if there isn't 'cold', or 'high' if there isn't 'low', hence, if there is Reality there is Non-Reality. Creation is dichotomy based on this dichotomy of Reality/Non-Reality. Creation exists within itself and is real to and within itself. But is creation Real or is creation the image of Reality? Is creation the distorted, inverted image of a non-comprehendable Reality?

Post #1 The Reality of Non-Reality-What is Real?

The August 2013 issue of Scientific American featured an article entitled 'What is Real' by Meinard Kuhlman. The gist of the article appears to be that physicists are not sure of their theories as to the makeup of the universe. Their speculations as to what the universe is made of and if it is what it appears to be are not satisfactory. Also science is not clear as to the basics of creation, such as in the elementary particles and force fields-the stuff of creation.

What is Real? What does Real mean? Could it be that we are looking to find Real where Real does not exist or that maybe that what we think is Real is not Real at all? Actually, if Reality exists, Non-Reality must also exist. To get any understanding or make any sense at all, we must allow for Reality and for the reality of Non-Reality. Non-Reality exists! To find the answers it is necessary to understand the difference of what is Real from what is not Real. From here we would do well to seek to understand the crux of the mystery of Existence, as in 'Why does the universe exist? Why does the cosmos exist? and finally, 'Why does Creation itself exist?'

In determining Reality from Non-Reality we must consider that the relationship, if it could be described as such, is dichotomous in nature. The dichotomous characteristics of Reality and Non-Reality set in place all that follows. On this dichotomy all hinges. Because Reality is, Reality also is not. Non-Reality is where Reality is not because Non-Reality is the reflected image of Reality. Image cannot exist without its reality.

There is great tension in Non-reality. There is great tension in the void, in the nothingness of pre-creation.The tension or the energy (negative energy) is chaotic. This energy that stirs the void is the energy of Consciousness-the collective consciousness and the collective unconsciousness. There exists the consciousness of Reality and the consciousness of Non-Reality as the image of Reality. The energy of Non-Reality is divisive because Non-Reality is image and as such breaks down into smaller and smaller pieces of itself. Non-Reality as image cannot sustain itself. Creation is the image of Non-Reality and thereby determines its own end. Creation creates its own death as it is divisive and does not know the entity of Reality. Creation destroys itself. Non-Reality is the distorted, inverted image of Reality. The answer to 'What is real?' cannot be found in image. It cannot be found in creation. It and cannot be found in Non-Reality
